Under the leadership of founder, Denise Farrell, Environmental Attribute Advisors focuses on carbon offset development, renewable natural gas projects, as well as traditional municipal financial advisory services. 

Denise Farrell, Founder and President of Environmental Attribute Advisors, has more than 20 years of traditional tax exempt financing experience and, since 2006 has focused exclusively on developing markets for environmental attributes. She has placed more than ten million dollars in environmental attributes for New York State clients and advised public and private solid waste entities on the eligibility, development and sale of carbon offsets generated from greenhouse gas reductions activities.  

Prior to forming Environmental Attribute Advisors, Ms. Farrell worked for more than 20 years at Environmental Capital, a municipal financial advisory firm where she initiated and managed all the firm’s environmental attribute development business.  She began her career at a major bank in the Municipal Underwriting and Acquisition Finance area specializing in structured finance while also teaching credit analysis in the domestic and international training program. She holds a BS from Georgetown University and an MBA from Fordham University's School of Business and attended the Columbia School of International and Public Affairs. In 2020, Ms. Farrell graduated from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and the Yale School of Management with a Certificate in Financing and Deploying Clean Energy.
